What LIC collects

LIC processes the information required to connect to Rust+ and provide its features. Depending on whether you use This PC or LIC Cloud, this may include your Steam ID, Rust+ notification credentials, Rust+ player token, paired server IP address and port, paired Smart Device identifiers, Storage Monitor inventory, team and server information, device settings, chat-bot settings, custom recipes, reservations, Base Stock targets and production profiles.

When using This PC, sensitive Rust+ credentials are stored on your computer in an AES-256-GCM encrypted local vault. Other preferences may be stored locally in the application's data folder or browser storage.

When using LIC Cloud, your account, Rust+ connection, paired devices and related settings are stored by the LIC Cloud service. Cloud passwords are stored as salted password hashes, and the LIC Cloud data file is encrypted at rest. Information is separated by LIC Cloud account.

LIC Pro activation may process your license key, machine fingerprint, purchase email and license status. The encrypted license state is stored on your computer, while license validation is performed through Gumroad.

Live game information

LIC processes live information supplied by Rust+, including inventory, team membership, teammate status and positions, server information, team-chat messages, Smart Alarm events and map-event grids. This information is used for the dashboard, automation and chat-bot features. LIC does not intentionally create a permanent historical archive of teammate locations or team-chat conversations. Limited technical information and errors may appear temporarily in service logs for troubleshooting.

What LIC does not collect

LIC does not receive or store payment-card details. Payments are processed by Gumroad and its payment providers. LIC does not intentionally collect your Steam password; Steam authentication takes place through the Steam/Rust Companion sign-in process. LIC does not sell personal information or use Rust+ information for advertising.

Security and retention

LIC uses encryption and access controls intended to protect sensitive credentials, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Local information remains on the user's computer until the application data is removed. Rust+ connection information can be removed using Forget Direct Connection.

LIC Cloud information remains until it is removed by the user, deleted by the service owner, or no longer required to provide the service. Users may request account-data deletion through the support Discord.

Third parties

LIC may communicate with Steam for authentication; Facepunch and official Rust+ services for pairing and game information; Gumroad for purchases and Pro license validation; GitHub or configured item-data providers for catalogue and image downloads; Google Fonts when visiting the website; and Discord when you voluntarily join the support community. These services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
